Mike is a native San Diegan, and has spent time in New England and the Midwest before moving back to San Diego in 2003. His professional career has been in manufacturing, but has always dabbled in the arts since high school, especially photography. He started working with fractals in 1996.

 

His fractal composites are generated in Fractal Explorer, and often involve a single fractal set at a single location with up to a hundred equation transformations which then are imaged and imported in separate layers in Photoshop to be filtered through each other and through photographs to make the unique images you see here.
