Mark your calendar to join us for our monthly art demonstrations, which take place every third Thursday of the month from 4-6pm at the La Jolla Community Center.
This month member Dan Kilgore will be demonstrating his watercolor landscape technique. Pictured above is Dan and an example of his work - this one titled Beach Series 1: Solitude. Dan is an accomplished painter and it's sure to be an informative demonstration.

LJAA held it's Artist Reception for the April/May Exhibition last Thursday, April 21st from 3-5 on the lovely courtyard patio at the La Jolla Community Center. The event was well-attended and featured additional artworks for sale by our exhibiting artists. A special thank you to member Sally Irwin for providing such wonderful hospitality for the event.

Ann is a lifelong artist. Over the years, she has evolved from representational art forms to mixed media and enjoys using diverse materials to create a symbolic representation.
She plans to demonstrate for you how the wonderful variety of handmade papers, bits of nature, photos and found objects can be combined and layered to reflect your own personal visual language. With Ann's deep knowledge and passion, it is sure to be a wonderful journey together into exploring Mixed Media.
