LJAA's April/May Exhibition is now up at the La Jolla Community Center! Mark your calendar to join us on Thursday April, 21st from 3-5pm at LJCC for a reception honoring our participating artists and tour our latest exhibit. Bring your friends, invite your collectors and come enjoy the company of our artists. Light refreshments will be served on the beautiful LJCC patio.
Thursday, March 24th marked our second event in the newly established Monthly Demonstration Series. Dottie Stanley, LJAA Member and well-known local artist, demonstrated her method for portrait painting. Dottie painted in oil, her subject being La Jolla Community Center representative, Deborah. In less than 2 hours Dottie completed the portrait in front of 20+ attendees. Dottie explained her choice of materials, colors, layering technique and answered questions from the audience.

On Thursday March 17th, LJAA held its' Artist Reception for the current Exhibition. It was a fine spring day to enjoy good company, fine art, tasty nibbles and a glass of wine. The event provided an opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow artists and gather with friends, new and old, to celebrate our exhibitors.
