Victoria Gist-Towner
Art has been the thread woven through my life since childhood. Encouraged by my grandmother to explore all forms of creative expression, I grew up experimenting with various media and taking art classes in Balboa Park. My artistic journey took me across the ocean to England, where I began college with a focus on Art and Pottery. Although I later pursued a career in nursing, returning to England to become a Registered Nurse, art has always remained a vital part of who I am. Today, I share that passion by teaching an art class in La Jolla, where I encourage others to discover their own creative voice. I am drawn to both abstract work and landscapes, often working with mixed media—especially tissue paper and collage. To me, art is not just a personal expression, but a gift meant to be shared.
